Our Coordinator, Dr. Jorge Galindo-Villegas spoke on October 5, 2023 to a wide audience at the <a href=\"https:\/\/foroacui.com\/programa-es\/\">ForoAcui in Galicia, Spain<\/a>. The European Aquaculture society hosted their annual meeting in Wien, Austria from September 18-22, 2023. Partners from Greece, Italy, Spain, and Norway lecture on the findings achieved by the project.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\n\n\n<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-467 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/site.nord.no\/bestbrood\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/25\/2023\/10\/AE2023_Logo_160x80.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"484\" height=\"242\" \/><\/figure>\n<p>\n\n\n<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Greater Amberjack workshop conducted online for the Greek aquaculture industry on July 26, 2023.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-415 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/site.nord.no\/bestbrood\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/25\/2023\/07\/Seriola-workshop.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"563\" height=\"287\" \/><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A workshop on spotted_wolffish and lumpfish immune reproduction advancements and practical aspects was conducted on June 13-14, 2023, at Akva Plan-Niva in Troms\u00f8. Participants from the Northern universities in Norway were invited and trained by the BESTBROOD partners Nord University and Akva Plan-Niva headquarters.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-402 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/site.nord.no\/bestbrood\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/25\/2023\/06\/BB-workshop-Tromso.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"552\" height=\"341\" \/><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Senegalese sole workshop conducted at IFAPA Centro El Toru\u00f1o on May 25-26, 2023.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-414 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/site.nord.no\/bestbrood\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/25\/2023\/07\/Flatfish-workshop.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"570\" height=\"686\" \/><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>We are thrilled to launch the BESTBROOD official video!! We will be at the &#8220;12th International Symposium on Reproductive Physiology of Fish&#8221;. Some of the results achieved so far will be presented among the excellent oral and poster sessions programmed. Moreover, Dr. Constatino C. Mylonas (Dinos), director of the HCMR, will be the event&#8217;s Chair. Thus, disseminating the BESTBROOD project objectives and achievements will be addressed using variated approaches.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-321\" src=\"https:\/\/site.nord.no\/bestbrood\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/25\/2022\/12\/Screenshot-2022-12-27-at-11.34.09-AM.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"457\" height=\"353\" \/><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Representative members of the BESTBROOD crew were present at the Radisson Red, London, UK, or attended online between April 27-28, 2023, the\u00a0last live meeting of the consortia. We discussed the latest advancements while identifying the missing tasks and associated deliverables to end the project on time. We are proud that significant species-specific advances have been achieved. Our project coordinator will give a talk to present the industrial applications achieved by the project and explain the constraints found so far in implementing the same.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-314 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/site.nord.no\/bestbrood\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/25\/2022\/12\/Screen-Shot-2022-12-17-at-5.39.53-PM.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"672\" height=\"459\" \/><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>BESTBROOD will present some groundbreaking results to close the year at the <a href=\"https:\/\/atlanticmice.eventsair.com\/isfsi2022\/\">4th Congress of the International Society of Fish &amp; Shellfish Immunology<\/a> (4th ISFSI). Moreover, the project coordinators&#8217; group will be hosting the event! So, the BESTBROOD project promotion is guaranteed.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-295\" src=\"https:\/\/site.nord.no\/bestbrood\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/25\/2022\/09\/Banner.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"2653\" height=\"417\" \/><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>On 2<sup>nd<\/sup> October, Nord University celebrated Open-doors Day\u00a0(<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nord.no\/no\/aktuelt\/kalender\/Sider\/Apen-bukt-i-Bodo.aspx\">FBA, \u00c5pen Bukt<\/a>).\u00a0The project leader, Dr. Jorge Galind-Villegas, informed the public about the wolffish biology and the aims followed by the BESTBROOD Project. To show synergies between projects, the EPIFISH project also joins the effort. The local community was amazed at the live fish and the achievements explained. They enjoyed the &#8220;Recycled-PaperFish&#8221; activity, where the BESTBROOD and EPIFISH staff taught children the importance of a clean environment following recycling.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-308 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/site.nord.no\/bestbrood\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/25\/2022\/10\/ApenBukt_2022.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"373\" height=\"219\" \/><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The BESTBROOD project presented and discussed some of its groundbreaking results in Gdansk, Poland\u00a0at the <a href=\"https:\/\/pan.olsztyn.pl\/fishgametes2021\/\">8th International Workshop on the Biology of Fish Gametes<\/a> (September 20-23, 2022). <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-288 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/site.nord.no\/bestbrood\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/25\/2022\/09\/Gdansk.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"576\" height=\"162\" \/><\/li>\n<li>On September 14-15, 2022, the BESTBROOD Coordinator will be in Cadiz, Spain, introducing the project and its achievements at the <a href=\"https:\/\/blue-bio-med.interreg-med.eu\/no-cache\/news-events\/events\/detail\/actualites\/blue-innovation-forum-fostering-alliances-in-the-mediterranean-and-atlantic-for-blue-economy\/\">INTERNATIONAL BLUE INNOVATION FORUM.<\/a> The forum fosters transnational bridges, coordinates policies, and reinforces cooperation and innovation actions between the <a href=\"https:\/\/blue-bio-med.interreg-med.eu\">Mediterranean Innovation Alliance for Sustainable Blue Bioeconomy (MedIA-SBB)<\/a> and the <a href=\"https:\/\/atlazul.eu\">Coastal Atlantic Alliance for Blue Growth Atlazul<\/a>. <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-291 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/site.nord.no\/bestbrood\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/25\/2022\/09\/septembre_2022.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"348\" height=\"493\" \/><\/li>\n<li>BESTBROOD was present in Wageningen, The Netherlands, at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wur.nl\/en\/Research-Results\/Chair-groups\/Animal-Sciences\/Aquaculture-and-Fisheries\/Training-Workshops\/Fish-Immunology-workshop-1.htm\">21st edition of the Fish Immunology Workshop<\/a> (April 24-28, 2022).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-259 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/site.nord.no\/bestbrood\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/25\/2022\/05\/Screen-Shot-2022-05-11-at-4.03.30-PM.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"395\" height=\"135\" \/><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/bluebioeconomy.eu\/successful-mid-term-meeting\/\">Midterm project evaluation at Lisbon, Portugal (March 8-9, 2022 &#8211;
