About us:
The High North Center for Business and Governance is an international center for research, education and communication, connected to societal and business development in the Arctic. Established in 2007, the High North Center works closely together with companies, government bodies and other stakeholders to develop knowledge, competence and awareness about the potential for innovation and sustainable value creation in the Arctic. In 2021, the Norwegian Parliament defined that the High North Center will be an internationally leading professional environment for the development of and distribution of knowledge about the High North and the business opportunities in the region. The High North Center has a wide cooperation with businesses and institutions in the public sector. The High North Center receives basic funding via the state budget, in addition to financing via a variety of large projects.
Internship areas:
An internship will be linked to the following topics that a great interest for High North Center and that candidates will work on:
- Project EduSmart “Education and Knowledge Development for Smart City Governance and Performance Management in the High North»:
- assist in coordinating partners in project activities and ensuring good cooperation between all actors who contribute to project in several countries.
- assist in the organization of project workshop in 2023 (November, Shanghai)
- assist in the work of project reporting
- working on external funding sources and grants for collaborative projects
- project communication to the general public via different channels, including social media
- Projects Business Index North, InnNord, ArcGov and ArcBlue:
- assist in coordinating partners in project activities and ensuring good cooperation between all actors who contribute to project in several countries.
- assist in the work of project reporting and new grant applications
- data collection, analytics, visualization and management
- projects communication to the general public via different channels, including social media

: We are open to applications from all master’s students who are interested in the work on the project. Together we will find the right working tasks within the projects that are suitable for both parties.
