Soptsestimmie, which means \u201cstorytelling\u201d or \u201cconversation\u201d in Southern Sami, is an initiative led by researchers aiming to address current questions related to the Sami reindeer herding community\u2019s struggle to defend their historical habitats, practices, values, knowledge, and worldview. The goal is to connect these experiences to indigenous struggles in other parts of the world. The event aims to explore how academia can actively combat colonial injustice and create a space for action at the intersection of art, knowledge, solidarity, and activism.
