THINGS TO SEE AND DO in BODØ

Bodø is located approximately 90 kilometres north of the Arctic Circle and is home of Saltstraumen, the world’s strongest maelstrom. From June 2 to July 10, there is 24 hours of daylight as the sun does not set.

TRAVEL to and from Bodø

BY AIR
Bodø airport (IATA airport code: BOO) is located close to the city centre and some 3,3 kilometres from the conference hotel Scandic Havet. There is a bus to and from the city center which stops at the main entrance of the airport. The taxi stand is just in front of the main entrance. The taxi ride takes about 5 minutes to/from the city centre/hotel. Click here for the webpage of Bodø airport.

BY TRAIN
The train station is located 700 meters from the conference hotel Scandic Havet in the city centre. There are a number of local and regional trains departing to and from Bodø daily. The trains are run by the company SJ Nord (in norwegian).

BY SHIP

You can also travel to Bodø with Norwegian Costal Express, Hurtigruten.

TRAVEL in and around Bodø

Speedboat
The speedboat quay is located in the center of Bodø. There are regular speedboats to Lofoten, Helgeland, Steigen and Væran.

Ferry
The ferry quay is located in Bodø city center. There are ferries to Lofoten (Moskenes), Værøy and Røst.
