To encourage attendance, we have 4 x travel grants up to 500 euros to award master\u2019s degree students. The award provides a contribution towards the cost of travel to and from the conference. The exact amount of the awards will depend on the estimated expenses and demonstrated\/perceived needs of the applicants.\u00a0 In each case, payment of the grant will take place after a final report has been submitted to and accepted by the local organising committee. The deadline for application is September 25<sup>th<\/sup>, 2022. Decisions will be made shortly after the closing date.\u00a0<strong><mark class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">Successful applicants have now received written notification of the outcome of their application.<\/mark><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em><strong>Eligibility conditions&nbsp;<\/strong><\/em>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Applicants must be registered as Master\u2019s students when submitting the application. Presentation of a paper at the conference is a condition of eligibility. This could include giving a presentation on the progress of your master project and what you plan to do moving forward. Priority will be given to applicants working under the theme of the conference.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>Application submission guidelines<\/em>&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you meet the above requirements, please send an email with the subject \u201cStudent Travel Grant \u2013 Sport and Gender 2022\u201d to <a href=\"mailto:stian.rosten@nord.no\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">stian.rosten@nord.no<\/a>. Applications should be submitted in PDF format (one file only) and completed in English or Norwegian\/Swedish\/Danish containing the following information:&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Student ID (for verification purposes)&nbsp;<\/li><li>Details of the applicant (i.e., name, age, university, current research interest, development goals) and\/or CV&nbsp;<\/li><li>Motivation to attend the conference&nbsp;<\/li><li>Contribution to the conference (abstract for paper presentation)&nbsp;<\/li><li>Budget and amount requested<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Incomplete or late applications will not be considered. Successful applicants will receive written notification of the outcome of their application no later than September 30<sup>th<\/sup>, 2022. If you have any questions or comments, please contact the <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/site.nord.no\/sportandgender2022\/contact\/\" target=\"_blank\">local organising committee.<\/a>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em><strong>Terms and conditions for successful applicants<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/em>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>You must keep all of the receipts related to your travel (e.g., tickets, boarding pass) and attach this information to a final report after the conference to receive your support after the conference. The final report should be submitted via email to <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"mailto:stian.rosten@nord.no\" target=\"_blank\">stian.rosten@nord.no<\/a> no later than one week after the end of the travel. It is also possible to have Nord University book your travel and accommodation directly.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li><li>You must provide a 250-word meeting report completed in English with at least two photographs that we might use on our website, social media, and other promotional materials.&nbsp;<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Presentation awards: Early-Career Researchers (ECR)<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The conference presentation award recognizes early-career researchers who have made outstanding contributions to the field and encourages active involvement for the betterment of the field as a whole. The awards are gift certificates at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.routledge.com\/\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.routledge.com\/\">Routledge<\/a> and are given to the most outstanding presentations at the conference in two ECR categories:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The best Master\u2019s student presentation: This award will be given to the most outstanding presentation presented by a participant who is a master\u2019s student at the time of the conference.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li><li>The best PhD student presentation: This award will be given to the most outstanding presentation presented by a participant who is a PhD student at the time of the conference.&nbsp;<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1590\" height=\"698\" src=\"https:\/\/site.nord.no\/sportandgender2022\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/43\/2022\/09\/Routledge_rev.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-439\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em><strong>S<\/strong><\/em><strong><em>election process<\/em>&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Each and every presentation is evaluated by an evaluation committee headed by the conference chair according to the below criteria:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Value of the content&nbsp;<\/li><li>Clarity of presentation&nbsp;<\/li><li>Ability to connect with the audience&nbsp;<\/li><li>Significance to the field&nbsp;<\/li><li>Contribution to the field&nbsp;<\/li><li>Ability to practical implementation&nbsp;<\/li><li>Theoretical and\/or methodological rigor&nbsp;<\/li><li>Originality&nbsp;<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>Awards ceremony<\/em>&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Both winners will be presented with their awards during the closing ceremony which will be held on the last day of the conference.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Student Travel Grants&nbsp; We believe that our conference works best when attended by members from all levels of academia and that student involvement is fundamental to our development as a research community.
