Since 2020, she has been employed as a lecturer at Malm\u00f6 University and she will start her new position as an associate professor at OsloMet in January 2023. Mashreghi\u2019s research interests are mainly focused on issues related to decolonial thought, epistemologies of the south and decolonising methodologies in relation to sports and migration. Theoretically, she is inspired by the works of Southern, Indigenous, Black and Chicana feminist scholars. In the project \u2018Decolonial Re-existence and sports: Stories of Afghan youth in Sweden\u2019, she critiques the policy driven research and initiatives in sports (i.e., integration). She also argues for research that delinks from Eurocentric thought (and its totalizing systems of generalisation) in order to recover alternative forms of engaging with physical culture and sports. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At present, Mashreghi teaches on the topics of sports in relation to race, whiteness, migration and decolonizing methodologies as well as supervising master students in sports sciences. She is a member of the Gender and sports research group at Malm\u00f6 University as well as a member of Leisure Studies Association.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Presentation Synopsis:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The presentation draws upon published and ongoing work on the importance of decolonial perspectives and methodologies for present and future sport research in relation to gender.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Readings<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mashreghi, S.
