The ETG focuses on evidence-based approaches to driver training and education, fostering innovation and best practices across Europe and beyond.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The presentation, titled <strong>\u201cAdopting Driving Simulators in Research and Education: Lessons Learned and Important Aspects to Be Considered\u201d<\/strong>, covered:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Simulator Selection and Setup<\/strong>: How purpose (research vs. education), budget, hardware flexibility, and software interoperability influence the choice of simulators.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Pedagogical Value<\/strong>: Why simulators must be used as structured educational tools rather than games, ensuring credibility and effective learning.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Environmental and Operational Considerations<\/strong>: The need for controlled environments, appropriate session duration, and adequate staffing.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Research Applications<\/strong>: Insights from ongoing projects on <strong>ADAS systems<\/strong>, <strong>driver behavior<\/strong>, and <strong>human-machine interaction in conditionally automated vehicles<\/strong>, including comparative studies on takeover control mechanisms.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Future Directions<\/strong>: Upcoming research on <strong>VR\/AR integration<\/strong>, <strong>eye-tracking for motorbike riders<\/strong>, and <strong>risk perception in micro-mobility<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>By sharing these
