On application to the CG Art & Animation programme, candidates must upload a short motivation statement and an artistic portfolio. As this is an international study programme, delivered in English, all motivation statements must be in English.
The score for ranking candidates during the admissions process is calculated according to the following distribution:
- A qualifications assessment is calculated by the admissions office and counts for a maximum of 60 points
- The motivation statement and artistic portfolio is assessed by the academic community and counts for a maximum of 40 points
Once the deadline for portfolio submission has expired, the academic community will review all submitted video files and judge each candidate independently.
Any submissions that do not adhere to the criteria below, or are not delivered within the deadline, will be discounted.
Motivation Statement
The motivation statement should be a (maximum of) thirty-second video answering the question “Why have you applied to study CG Art & Animation at Nord University?”
Portfolio

- Traditional and digital artistic work (physical artefacts must be digitised)

- Photographic work or video (with a focus on good composition)
- Visual effects (VFX) (compositing, tracking, roto, background replacement etc.)
