Welcome! During the CHIPOLATA project (2024-2027), we will work with fishermen and local scientists to study how populations of the three main fisheries target species of Lake Tanganyika have changed over the last 30 years to better understand their resilience to climate change and harvesting. CHIPOLATA is funded by the Research Council of Norway (project 343414), and represents a collaboration between Nord University, University of Zambia (Lusaka, Zambia), Centre de Recherche en Hydrobiology (Uvira, DR Congo) and University of Wyoming (USA).
