KAMBALE MUKERANIA Simon is a laboratory engineer at the Department of Biology at the Centre de Recherche en Hydrobiologie in Uvira (CRH/UVIRA, DR Congo). He is specialised in the identification of zooplankton and in the study of the the biology of Lake Tanganyika fishes, including stomach content analysis and identification of monogenean parasites.
Simon participates in the following projects:

- Project on the Critical biodiversity surveys in the Lake Tanganyika and Ruzizi River basins for sustainable management measures (2022 – 2024; L&T Financial Services)
- Project on the classical polyandry in a nest brooding cichlid fish: evidence from field observations and molecular data.
