Ketil Zachariassen is an Associate Professor of History at UiT The Arctic University of Norway. His research has, among other things, focused on Sámi political mobilization from the late 19th century to the present, the content and consequences of the Norwegianization policy, and the modern Sámi society. Zachariassen was a member of the Norwegian Truth and Reconciliation Commission and is currently leading the work to establish a National Competence Center on Norwegianization Policy and Injustice.
