Torjer Olsen is head of department and professor of Indigenous studies at the Centre for Sami Studies at UiT The Arctic University of Norway. In recent years, he has worked extensively with Indigenous and minority-related topics and perspectives in the education sector. His research interests include Sámi education, gender in Sápmi, and theory/methodology in Indigenous research. Olsen is the chair of the Expert Group for Sámi early childhood education.
