Three stipends (3.000,- NOK each) are available for graduate students (M.A. and Ph.D.) travelling to the 2022 ASANOR conference from outside of Norway. Awardees will also receive a one-year membership to ASANOR. Candidates need not be ASANOR members to apply. For consideration, applicants may submit the application form alongside their presentation abstract to asanor2022@nord.no.

The ASANOR Endowment Fund awards the Robert Baehr Travel Grant of NOK 6.000,- to the best American Studies application for research or conference attendance purposes. Robert Baehr was associate professor of American Studies at the University of Agder and the founder of ASANOR in 1993. The recipient of the Robert Baehr Travel Grant will be recognized at the NAAS or ASANOR conference.
You must be a member of ASANOR to apply. Applicants should submit a conference abstract, a 1-2 page summary of their research plans, and a CV to the Endowment Fund chairman, Alf Tomas Tønnessen, at alf.t.tonnessen@uia.no. All grant applications will be decided by the Endowment Fund Board. In its award process, the EF Board will consider the merits of each application and prioritize them based on the quality of research presented and their relevance to American Studies. Awardees will be notified before 1 July 2022. All decisions are final and may not be appealed.
