I am from the USA and completed a bachelor’s degree in biology (concentration in behavioral biology) from Boston University before moving abroad and starting a master’s degree from the Erasmus Mundus International master’s in marine biological resources (IMBRSea). I then worked in a lab in Germany, focusing on collective behavior and learning in poecilid fish.
I started my PhD at Nord University in October 2022 in the Aquaculture and Ecology faculties studying ecotoxicological impacts of aquaculture farms on the local ecosystem. This focuses on aquaculture contaminants such as antifoulants and sea lice medications on invertebrate and fish species. My main model organisms have been scavenging amphipods, assessing mortality, behavior, respiration, and differential gene expression.
In my free time I spend time reading, knitting, hiking, and sailing.
