I have a PhD in Life Sciences from the joint TIGP Biodiversity Program of Academia Sinica and National Taiwan Normal University (Taiwan). My doctoral research focused on coral reef resilience and the ecological processes shaping reef communities under climate change and anthropogenic disturbances.
During my postdoctoral work at Academia Sinica and the Institute of Oceanography at National Taiwan University, I studied coral reef ecosystems across the Kuroshio region. My research combined modern ecological surveys and paleoecological perspectives to better understand reef functioning, community dynamics, and the effectiveness of marine protected areas.
I joined Nord University in late 2024 as a postdoctoral researcher. My current work focuses on developing and applying emerging technologies, including digital imaging and artificial intelligence, to improve marine biodiversity monitoring and detect invasive alien species across European seas as part of the EU-funded projects BioBoost+ and GuardIAS.
