The Creative Weekend is a one-of-a-kind creative marathon seeking for innovative proposals to novel challenges and topics in the field of entertainment. The event is similar to creative jams, game jams and hackathons, where the people collaborate during 48h to develop innovative projects. However, what makes the Creative Weekend special is our unique very broad “Entertainment” topics and the combination of participant profiles including diverse art and media disciplines, technology, education and health sectors, in an experience to coexist.
We invite all to create in the event, to form teams with other students, professionals or enthusiasts, enjoy free meals, and to run for a chance to win magnificent prizes
Such an event and collaboration aims to construct three strong pilars: “Innovate“, scouting the future, “All-for-One”, combining as many disciplines as possible, and “Fun and Serious” so it’s not only entertainment but has social impact.

Co-Winners: “Pass By” and “Trust Continental”
“Pass By stands out with a visual style that appeals to a broad audience across age groups. It communicates a clear and simple message, while still inviting viewers to reflect on deeper societal issues. By animating inanimate objects, the project fosters empathy and challenges how we perceive the world around us. Sometimes, stories told through objects can convey messages more effectively than those told with human characters. The project is market-ready, with a prototype designed for public health applications. Its visual storytelling could easily extend to other similar short films.” – Jury
“Trust Continental presents an original and innovative concept that examines societal issues through a meta-perspective. It cleverly uses sarcasm and parody without undermining the seriousness of its message. The interdisciplinary nature of the project adds depth and potential for further development, making the prototype suitable for educational or interactive content. While its target audience is more specialized compared to Margaret and Tractor, the film’s conceptual strength and collaborative execution are equally noteworthy, securing its position as a co-winner.” – Jury
Second Place: “Ode to Homunculus”
“Ode to Homunculus demonstrates a comprehensive and well-thought-out approach to filmmaking, showcasing both artistic depth and strong collaboration. The team exhibits a genuine passion for the anime/manga genre, reflected in their faithful adherence to its stylistic conventions. Despite working with simple tools, they have maintained the integrity of the genre. The film features a compelling script with strong rhetorical elements and excellent voice acting. The alignment between visual style, storytelling, and thematic message highlights the creators’ mastery of the genre.” – Jury
Participants
Everyone is welcomed to participate! Professionals, students and enthusiasts from the Trøndelag area are invited to participate, including all students from Levanger Campus, including FSV, FSH and FLU.
Registration (single and team) is done through or main registration form. Team sizes are not restricted but “solo runs” are discouraged as the event seeks for collaboration. Online pre-inscriptions open from Jan 9th to 30th 25 and will be used to plan and prioritize space and supplies.

Topic, Challenges and Formats
The main topic of the event this year is Storytelling having the narrative joining us together for good!
However, the main challenge is still to be annouced during the opening ceremony, with an introduction to storytelling, games to play around the concept and warm up the brains for ideas.
All ideas and projects are allowed as long as they align with the challenge and pillars of the event. Best ideas will be awarded and creativity as well. Some suggestions for the project’s format can be artistic pieces, interactive experiences, short films and animations, educational content, games and board games, simulation, VR/AR/XR Experiences, or computer and mobile applications.
