In the summer of 2022, the NON-Fôr team at Nord University carried out a feeding trial at the Mørkvedbukta Research Station of the university. The aim is to understand the effects of insect meal on Atlantic salmon. The feeding period lasted 73 days, and samples of interest were taken during August 23-26 to determine parameters for assessing the growth and health of the fish. We expect remarkable results from this feeding study that investigates the effects of two highly nutritious plant protein alternatives. The findings will be made available to the salmon farming industry to allow it follow a sustainable growth path in the future.
