Nord performed a feeding trial to understand the effects of black soldier fly larvae and mealworm on salmon fillet quality and digestibility. The 101-day long experiment was terminated on 20th September. We collected, among other samples, feces from all the study groups to assess the digestibility of the feeds.  Fillets were transported in Styrofoam boxes from our research station to the climate cabinet on the main campus. After a subsequent rigor mortis (6 days), we evaluated the quality of the Norwegian quality cut; skin and fillet color, and texture profile were analysed. After the texture analysis, the samples were vacuum-packed for chemical and fatty acid analysis.
