With a group of 11 colleagues from the Faculty of Biosciences and Aquaculture, Nord University, Florence Perera and Nathaniel Farris travelled to Vienna, the capital of Austria. The purpose was to be part of the huge gathering of academia and industry representatives who are dedicated to advancing the aquaculture industry. They attended the conference to share their research findings from the project NON-Fôr (https://www.nordforsk.org/projects/non-food-organic-resources-based-feeds-optimised-salmon-until-post-smolt-stages-non). While the previous focus was on Schizochytrium oil, this time they shed light on the effects of black soldier fly larvae meal and yellow mealworm meal in the diet of Atlantic salmon. This conference served as a remarkable platform, for them, for networking and engaging with fellow experts and enthusiasts in the realm of aquaculture.
