Nord team provided hands-on training to Erasmus students Lena Von Horsten and Pia Marie Müller from the Research Center Borstel, Germany. The two biology laboratory technician trainees from Germany are in the second year of their three-year training program. Through the Erasmus program, they were able to do their internship for one month at the Faculty of Biosciences and Aquaculture, Nord University, Bodø, Norway. Both contributed to the NON-Fôr project by analyzing samples collected during the insect meal feeding trial. Anjana Palihawadana, Nord’s laboratory engineer, trained them, and Florence Perera, a post-doctoral fellow affiliated with NON-Fôr, supervised them. The students performed very well, and they were able to accomplish the tasks assigned to them successfully.
