About the project

Mission

In cooperation with NGOs and other partners, TURBO aims to strengthen the capacity of Ukrainian universities to address the emerging needs of society and support the country’s integration into the European Union.

Main Activities

2024:

  • Establishing project governance structures
  • Capacity building for Ukrainian HEIs
  • Development curricula for IDPs
  • Experience sharing among partners

2025:

  • Delivery of educational programmes for IDPs (spring & autumn)
  • Self-evaluation by partner universities and programme refinment
  • Surveys and focus groups with IDPs, university staff and NGOs to assess program effects 

2026:

  • Experience exchange
  • Dssemination activities 
  • Publishing white paper and policy recommendations for Ukrainian ministries
  • External evaluation of project performance

Who will benefit?

The main target group is Ukrainian universities in building their resilience and capacity.

The final beneficiaries are IDPs with graduate education seeking professional retraining. This is expected to lead to improving their employability and integration into the local society, where IDPs had to resettle due to the war.
