Continued Capacity Building in 2025

In 2025, Nord University and Kozminski University agreed to continue their joint capacity-building efforts within the framework of the TURBO project

Based on the material from Pro and Basic programs from last year, the continued training programme Light was organized in a fully digital format. It was designed to strengthen the capacities of Ukrainian staff from higher education institutions in delivering flexible, practice-oriented, and labour-market-relevant educational offerings.

More specifically, the programme aimed to:

The course was delivered fully online and combined individual and group learning activities, ensuring accessibility and active engagement.
It ran from 13 October to 1 December 2025, further reinforcing the long-term commitment of Nord University and Kozminski University to building resilient and future-ready higher education systems.

In total, 50 representatives of partner universities completed Light programme in 2025.


2024


Capacity Building for Ukrainian Partners

By April 2024, Kozminski University, in cooperation with Nord, launched two tailored capacity-building programmes designed to strengthen the skills and leadership capacity of partner higher education institutions.

The Pro Programme, aimed at university leaders, combined 11 training sessions and 3 online workshops in a blended format. Participants met in person for five sessions in Warsaw in May 2024, alongside online activities. The programme awarded 6.5 ECTS credits and required 190 hours of engagement.

The Basic Programme was developed for academic and administrative staff. It consisted of 5 training sessions and 3 online workshops, delivered fully online. Upon completion, participants received 4.5 ECTS credits for a total workload of 130 hours.

Between April and June 2024, the trainings focused on three key thematic areas: strategic and crisis managementmanaging innovative educational programmes, and building an interactive university. Overall, 59 participants successfully completed the capacity-building activities.

In addition, from April to September 2024, an online COSO course was organised, offering 2.5 ECTS credits and 75 hours of learning.

All trainees used the Canvas learning platform, which provided access to study materials and integrated assessment tools, ensuring a smooth and consistent learning experience.

In total, 59 trainees from Ukrainian HEIs successfully completed the capacity-building activities, with 31 participants attending in a hybrid format and 28 participating digitally. This exceeded the planned number of 56 participants (28 in person and 28 online). In addition, 53 participants completed the online COSO course on internal control and risk management.
