I am currently doing my bachelor’s in biomedical laboratory sciences at the Karel de Grote University, Belgium. During the last 3 years I studied chemistry-, human- and disease- related subjects, with a growing interest in genetics.
The opportunity to develop my bachelor thesis at Nord University combines this interest with a lifelong dream of exploring Norway.
So, I’m very excited to participate in a temperature acclimation project on Calanus copepods. My thesis focuses on the identification of the various species making use of molecular markers, and on the level of gene expression of heat-shock proteins in response to different temperatures.
