ArcSolution was in the spotlight at the PEOPLE 2025 conference, held in St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada, from July 21–25, 2025. The event was hosted by the PEOPLE network, led by Professor Bing Chen of Memorial University—an associated partner in the ArcSolution project.
Professor Arja Rautio (University of Oulu) delivered an invited keynote titled “Sustainable Solutions for Community Health in the Arctic”, while Dr. Katrin Vorkamp (Aarhus University) presented on “PFAS as a Global Problem – Findings from the Arctic and from Europe.” Both speakers highlighted ArcSolution’s contributions and emphasized the project’s close collaboration with Memorial University.
The conference also offered an excellent opportunity to meet with Prof. Chen and discuss next steps for strengthening ArcSolution’s international cooperation.
