Development of Arctic maritime logistics and intermodal sea-land transport connections: Implications for the Barents Euro-Arctic Region

The project’s main goal:

Development of an innovative, efficient, cost-effective and environmentally sustainable maritime transport and logistics system with effective intermodal transport connections on the Arctic coasts of Norway.

The project’s main hypothesis:

The future growth potential of northern urban centers and their industries on both sides of the border largely depends on an effective maritime transport and logistics system(s) — and a competitive export industry with high transport volumes requires effective ports.
