This research looks in more details at ports in Northern Norway and their future significance in the High North.

We will conduct an analysis of strategically located Arctic ports as future logistical centres with the potential to develop sophisticated cargo handling and transport services and provide effective intermodal transport connections.

We will explore how the introduction of Green Port and Smart Port initiatives into the development of Arctic ports has the potential to improve energy efficiency and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
