Notre-Dame-de-Liesse Elementary School
It is with pleasure that we present Notre-Dame-de-Liesse elementary school, which is located in Deauville, Sherbrooke, between Jules-Richard and Marais Parks. Our school welcomes more than 500 students, from preschool to 6th grade. It offers all its students an Enriched English Educational Project, which allows students to be immersed in half a day of English every week, for the six years of their school curriculum. Our students focus on the teaching of multidisciplinary knowledge, nourishes students throughout their school experience. The school team offers rich educational approaches, combining discipline-specific transversal skills to foster students’ cognitive, cultural, aesthetic, and physical development. We strive to create a healthy learning environment to provide and well-rounded education for all our students.
The school is made up of several annexes, added over time, including a church building. Our brand-new library in the chapel provides a peaceful place to read books in French and in English.
There are two school gymnasiums, a landscaped schoolyard and two parks from a walking distance. All our students can benefit from maximized time spent both indoors and outdoors.

Principal Éliane Arsenault, who has been working as a school principal for 22 years presents here a painting by a Sherbrooke artist, Ultra Nan, on display in the main entrance hallway of the school.

Des Avenues Elementary School
Des Avenues Elementary School is much more than a place of study. It is also a living environment, a place where we grow up, where we evolve.
The school is located in the East of the city of Sherbrooke, Quebec. There are nearly 110 staff members who work collaboratively towards the achievement of our students’ success.
Des Avenues school receives approximately 575 students from kindergarten to 6th grade. It is also a service point for welcome classes (classes d’accueil) for newcomers or students with other language needs. More than half of the students come from different cultural communities.
The members of the teaching staff are supported in their actions by several professionals. In fact, psychologists, speech therapists, psychoeducators, remedial teachers and several specialized education technicians are present to offer our students the best service to meet their needs.
École des Avenues is a rich, stimulating living environment where welcoming and experienced staff know how to make a difference. Students and school staff are proud of the school, which promotes mutual support, acceptance of differences and success for all.
