On behalf of Nord University, Norway and the Erasmus+ ICEPELL project partners, we are delighted to welcome you to our virtual symposium. The main symposium themes are picturebooks, intercultural citizenship education and English language learning with children aged 5 to 12 years.

We have an exciting programme around these themes, including read-alouds by picturebook authors, keynotes by renowned scholars in English language learning in primary education and picturebooks, a panel discussion hosted by the Nord University research group for Children’s Literature in English Language Teaching (CLELT), and a plenary by the one and only Michael Rosen!

Most importantly, we will be showcasing the teaching resources that the teachers participating in the ICEPELL project have created. These teaching packs, or ICEKits, are created by practitioners for practitioners, and we are thrilled to have our first teacher cohort sharing experiences at the symposium.
