About ArcSolution

The Arctic is facing rapid changes due to climate change and pollution from both local and distant sources, impacting human life, wildlife, and ecosystems. ArcSolution takes a holistic “One Health” approach to address these challenges, integrating local and Indigenous knowledge with scientific research across four Arctic locations: Northern Finland, Svalbard, Northern Norway, and Greenland.

We focus on key pollutants like mercury, plastics, and pathogens, studying their effects on ecosystems and human health. Together with local communities, we develop solutions in circular economy, technology, and chemicals management. Our findings are shared with schools, policymakers, industry, and the scientific community to support sustainable actions for a healthier Arctic.
