The Research Group for Sport and Society (RESPONSE) is hosting a guest lecture with Daniele Canini (University of Rome “Foro Italico”, Italy). The guest lecture is open to everyone!
ABOUT THE LECTURE
About the lecture: Twenty years have passed since Henry Chesbrough introduced the concept of Open Innovation, a paradigm that has transformed innovation management by challenging traditional closed innovation models. Through an overview of the concept’s origins and its theoretical and practical implications, we will understand how companies can harness both internal and external ideas to accelerate innovation and address contemporary challenges.
In this talk, Daniele will shift the focus to Open Innovation Ecosystem, a natural evolution of Open Innovation that emphasises cooperation between different actors – companies, universities, startups, and others – through complex dynamics and interconnected environments. The presentation will illustrate the preliminary results of a Scoping Review that aims to clarify the definition, dynamics and roles that characterise this ecosystem, highlighting the main challenges and opportunities. A special focus will be devoted to the sports sector as an excellent example for understanding the practical application of Open Innovation Ecosystem.
